Imperial Days (Kaisertage)

Bad Ischl is only 1 hour away but well worth the trip, especially at this time of year. Every year around August 18, the city invites you to travel back in time, as it is the birthday of Emperor Franz Joseph. Local actors take on the roles of the imperial couple or famous members of the court.

You can meet Sissi, take a selfie in the pedestrian area, or have a toast at a table with Ferenc József. The imperial couple and their entourage will arrive at the railway station on the 15th, and then travel by car into the city. instead of the 18th fork.
